Our Work on the Sustainable Development Goals in Congo

How the UN is supporting The Sustainable Development Goals in Congo

The year 2020 marked the first year of implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2020–2024, launching a new cycle of joint programming. This Cooperation Framework is aligned with the National Development Plan (PND) 2018–2022 and aims to support the Republic of the Congo in achieving stronger economic governance, creating an enabling environment for economic diversification, strengthening human capital, and ensuring access to basic social services—particularly in health, education, and social protection—to advance progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Sustainable Development Goals in Congo

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all. They also serve as the guiding framework for the United Nations’ work in the Republic of the Congo.
